Studied architecture at FAUP (faculty of architecture of the university of Porto), Portugal - Integrated Masters. Specialisation in Urban Studies - Portuguese Colonial Urban Patterns. Post-graduation/Researcher in Urban Studies at Bauhaus Academy, Dessau, Germany. PhD student at FAUP (Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto), Portugal, focused on evidence-based design - housing theory and dwelling. Professional work developed mainly in Portugal since 2002, in projects ranging from big scale urban planning, education and restoration to small scale housing and interior refurbishment, in all phases of design.  Researcher at the Faculty of Architecture of Porto Research Centre in Conservation of Historic Buildings (Guimarães) and Educational Facilities (Portuguese Modernist Heritage). Researcher at Bauhaus Kolleg, Dessau, Germany on Bata Company Towns: The Bata System - how an imposed urban model affects social behaviour. Currently lecturing Architecture at University of Bahrain - College of Engineering.Also engaged in graphic, product and interior design, but specially photography.
